Overview

The Network Perimeter scanner in DeepTraQ helps identify security risks in internet-facing infrastructure such as public IP addresses, servers, firewalls, and network devices.

What this scanner does

The scanner analyzes external infrastructure to:

  • Discover open ports and exposed services
  • Detect vulnerable network services
  • Identify misconfigurations and weak protocols
  • Map findings to known CVEs and vulnerabilities

It uses integrated scanners such as Nmap, OpenVAS, and Nuclei along with DeepTraQ’s vulnerability intelligence.

When to use this scanner

Use the Network Perimeter scanner when you want to assess the security posture of publicly accessible infrastructure, including:

  • Public IP addresses
  • Internet-facing servers
  • Firewalls and network devices
  • Cloud instances exposed to the internet

This helps identify risks that attackers could exploit from outside your environment.

What you get

After the scan completes, DeepTraQ provides:

  • Discovered open ports and services
  • Identified network vulnerabilities
  • Severity-based risk prioritization
  • AI-generated security insights
  • Remediation guidance

These insights help developers, DevOps teams, IT administrators, and SOC teams quickly identify and reduce external attack surface risks.
