Managing Cloud Workload Scan
Overview
DeepTraQ allows security teams to customize and optimize cloud scan configurations to align with organizational security policies, compliance requirements, and operational priorities. Users can modify scan parameters, scheduling options, and AI-assisted analysis features to ensure scans produce meaningful and actionable security insights.
The platform provides full visibility into scan configuration settings, enabling teams to review scan details, adjust assessment parameters, and generate comprehensive security reports. These capabilities help organizations maintain efficient vulnerability monitoring while ensuring accurate and consistent security assessments.
Supported Platforms
Cloud scan configuration and management is supported for the following cloud environments:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Scan configurations apply to cloud resources discovered within these environments.
Prerequisites
- A cloud workload scan must already exist in the DeepTraQ platform.
- A cloud connector must be configured and active.
- Asset discovery must be completed for the selected cloud environment.
Steps
View Scan Details
Users can access detailed information about any configured cloud scan from the scan dashboard.
Selecting the scan name opens the scan details page where users can review configuration parameters, execution status, and assessment results. This section provides visibility into how the scan was configured and what resources were analyzed.
Run a Scan
Users can manually trigger a scan execution from the scan details page.
When the Run Scan option is selected, the scan request is added to the processing queue. DeepTraQ executes the scan in the background, allowing users to continue working while the platform performs the assessment.
Once completed, scan results become available for analysis.
Review Scan Results
After a scan finishes execution, the results dashboard provides a summary of detected vulnerabilities across scanned assets.
The results overview typically includes:
- Total vulnerabilities discovered
- Vulnerabilities grouped by severity
- Affected assets or services
- Detailed vulnerability findings
Users can drill down into the results to view technical details and remediation recommendations.
Update Scan Configuration
DeepTraQ allows users to modify scan configuration settings at any time.
Configuration updates can include adjustments such as:
- Scan scheduling
- AI assistant analysis options
- Scan depth or coverage
- Reporting preferences
Updating these parameters helps ensure scans remain aligned with evolving security requirements and compliance standards.
Configure AI Assistant
The platform includes optional AI-powered analysis features that generate summarized insights from scan findings.
Users can enable or modify AI assistant options from the scan configuration settings.
Common AI assistant features include:
- Vulnerability summaries
- Security insights
- Risk prioritization
These features help security teams quickly interpret scan findings and prioritize remediation actions.
Report Generation
DeepTraQ allows users to generate detailed security reports from completed scans.
Reports provide a structured summary of findings that can be used for security analysis, compliance documentation, or internal reporting.
Users can select different report types depending on their reporting requirements.
Report Export Options
Security reports can be exported in multiple formats for sharing or documentation purposes.
For example:
- Full security report
- Summary report
Reports can typically be exported in formats such as:
- Other supported documentation formats depending on configuration
These reports contain detailed vulnerability findings, asset information, and remediation guidance.
Steps
- Navigate to the Scans section in the DeepTraQ dashboard.
- Select the scan name to open the scan details page.
- Review the scan configuration and previous execution results.
- Click Run Scan to manually initiate the scan if required.
- Wait for the scan to complete and review the vulnerability summary.
- Open scan configuration settings to modify parameters.
- Update options such as scan scheduling and AI assistant settings.
- Save the updated configuration.
- Generate a security report from the scan results.
- Select the desired report type.
- Choose the preferred export format (for example, PDF).
- Download the report for documentation and remediation planning.
