Triage

Overview

Learn how to create, assign, track, and manage security triage issues in DeepTraQ. The triage module helps you transform detected vulnerabilities into manageable tasks, ensuring structured action, clear ownership, and continuous tracking until the risk is fully resolved.

Supported Modules

The triage process can be initiated from any DeepTraQ security module, including:

  • Cloud Security (CSPM)
  • Web Application Scanning
  • Code Vulnerabilities
  • Network Perimeter
  • Cloud Workload Risks

Steps

1. Create a Triage Issue

  1. Navigate to any security module (for example, CSPM) and select the specific scan you want to review.
  2. Click Triage to begin managing and prioritizing security issues.
  3. Initiate a new triage entry.
  4. Fill in the triage issue name.
  5. From the dropdown, select the specific findings you want to convert into a triage issue for remediation tracking. Apply and save any necessary filter settings to finalize your selection.
  6. Fill in the remaining details: assign the owner, set the priority, and choose a due date.
  7. Click Save to create the triage entry.

2. Manage and Resolve Issues

  1. Select the triage issue you just created to open the management panel.
  2. Use this panel to adjust ownership, priority, due dates, and status from a single place.
  3. Utilize the collaboration section to add comments, attach relevant images, document remediation steps, and track progress.
  4. Once remediation is completed, select the appropriate closure status from the dropdown (for example, choose Close as fixed).
  5. You can also edit the issue details or delete the triage entry entirely from this view as needed.

3. Search and Filter Triage Issues

  1. Access the consolidated overview of all triage issues to view their status, assignee, priority, and latest activity.
  2. Use the dropdown filters to quickly narrow down issues based on status, assignee, or resolution type.
  3. Use the global search bar to find specific issues. Enter a keyword and click the filter icon to search instantly across issue names, descriptions, and comments.
