Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does AI policy generation take?

Single policy generation typically takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Bulk generation of multiple policies may take several minutes. You can track progress under Organization Management → AI Tasks. You do not need to stay on the page — generation continues in the background.

Q: Can I edit AI-generated policies?

Yes. All AI-generated policies can be freely edited. Open the policy, go to the Policy Document tab, and click "Edit Policy" to make changes. Click "Save Changes" when done.

Q: What compliance standards does Process Genie support?

Process Genie currently supports: ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, CMMC 2.0, and NIST 800-53. Multiple standards can be applied to a single organization and its policies simultaneously.

Q: What file formats does the PDF export support?

Exported PDFs are standard PDF files compatible with Adobe Acrobat, Preview (Mac), and any modern PDF reader. They can optionally be password-encrypted for secure sharing.

Q: Can I assign a policy to multiple organizations?

Each policy is associated with one organization at a time. If you need the same policy for multiple organizations, generate the same template for each organization separately.

Q: What happens to my policies if I delete an organization?

Policies assigned to the organization will be unassigned but not deleted. You can still find them in Your Policies. However, organization-specific settings and configurations will be lost. This action cannot be undone.

Q: How do I invite team members?

Go to IAM Users from the navigation menu. You can invite team members by email and assign them roles with specific access levels and permissions.

Q: What types of files can I upload as Artifacts?

You can upload: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, TXT (documents), JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, SVG (images), and PPTX, PPT (presentations).

Q: Can I view a policy's version history?

Yes. Open any policy and click the "History" tab to see a complete version history of all changes, including who made them and when.

Q: What is the Org Context and why does it matter?

The Org Context is an AI-generated summary of your organization's profile, technology stack, and compliance posture. The AI uses this context when generating policies to make them accurate and relevant to your specific environment. You can review and edit it in the Org Context tab under Organization Management.

Q: What if an AI Task fails?

Click the "Retry" button on the failed task row in the AI Tasks tab. If it continues to fail, contact Process Genie support for assistance.

Q: Can I use Process Genie without completing the Onboarding Wizard?

The Onboarding Wizard runs automatically after your first login. While you can skip optional steps, completing the wizard fully gives the AI important context that results in more accurate and relevant policy generation.
