Managing Policies

The Policy Management module in DeepTraq enables organizations to efficiently manage the full lifecycle of security and compliance policies—from creation to review, grouping, and enforcement.

Managing Existing Policies

You can manage all created and active policies from the Your Policies section.

Available Actions

  • View all created, draft, and active policies
  • Edit policy content using the Rich Text Editor
  • Update compliance framework mappings
  • Modify policy metadata (owner, version, review frequency, etc.)
  • Track revision history and version changes
  • Assign or update policy groups
  • Monitor policy status and expiration

Viewing Policy Details

Click on any policy to access detailed information, including:

Summary Tab

  • Policy ID and Code
  • Policy Title
  • Owner and Department
  • Keywords
  • Current Status
  • Associated Compliance Standards

Editor Details

  • Full policy content with formatting
  • Policy structure and sections
  • Preview mode for final review

History Tab

  • Complete revision history
  • Version changes with timestamps
  • Authors and change descriptions

Comments Tab

  • Internal collaboration and feedback
  • Reviewer and stakeholder comments

Policy Actions

Each policy supports the following actions:

  • View – Review policy content and metadata
  • Edit – Modify policy content or mappings
  • More Options
    • Delete policy (based on permissions)
    • Manage group assignment

Policy Groups Management

Policies can be organized into logical groups to simplify governance and oversight.

Accessing Policy Groups

Navigate to Policy Management → Groups to view and manage policy groups.

Creating a Policy Group

  1. Click Create Group
  2. Enter a descriptive group name
  3. Add relevant policies
  4. Save the group

Viewing Grouped Policies

Selecting a group displays:

  • Group description
  • Group ID
  • Creation details
  • Total policy count
  • List of associated policies
