Managing Scans

The Vulnerability Dashboard provides a centralized view of all your security scans, making it easy to track, manage, and analyze your scanning activities.

Accessing Your Scans

Navigation to Scans Tab

  1. Navigate to Vulnerability Management in the sidebar
  2. Select any vulnerability assessment type (Device Risks, Network Perimeter Risks, etc.)
  3. Click on the Scans tab in the Vulnerability Dashboard

All scans you create using the "Create Scan" button will automatically appear in this Scans tab. This centralized location displays every scan configuration you've set up, whether they're running, completed, scheduled, or yet to be started, providing a complete overview of your scanning activities across all projects.

Main Scan List The dashboard displays all your scans in a table format with the following information:

  • Project Name: The identifier for your scan project
  • Tags: Colored labels for easy categorization and filtering
  • Number of Scans: Total count of scans performed for this project
  • Total Findings: Cumulative security issues discovered across all scans
  • Status: Current scan state with visual indicators
  • Severity Badges: Color-coded vulnerability counts
  • Action Buttons: Quick access to scan operations

Understanding Scan Information

Project Names

Each scan is identified by a unique project name (e.g., test-owasp, test-vuln-asst, advance network scan). These names help you quickly identify different scanning initiatives and organize your security assessments.

Tags

Tags provide flexible organization and filtering:

  • Appear as colored pills next to project names
  • Examples: vuln, ok, test, test-02, tragez
  • Add up to 10 tags per scan for categorization
  • Use tags to group scans by purpose, team, or environment

Number of Scans

Displays how many times this particular scan configuration has been executed. This helps track scan frequency and scanning patterns over time.

Total Findings

The cumulative count of all security vulnerabilities and issues discovered across all executions of this scan. This number provides a quick assessment of your security posture.

Scan Status Indicators

The Status column shows the current state of your scan:

Active Status

  • Scan completed successfully with success ratio
  • Shows the number of successful scans out of total attempts

Pending Status

  • Scan has warnings or requires attention
  • Indicates issues that need review or remediation

Not Started

  • Scan is configured but hasn't been executed yet
  • Appears for newly created or scheduled scans that haven't run

Severity Breakdown Badges

Each scan displays color-coded badges showing the count of vulnerabilities by severity:

Severity Levels

  • C (Critical): Dark red/burgundy badges - Immediate attention required
  • H (High): Red badges - Serious vulnerabilities needing prompt remediation
  • M (Medium): Orange badges - Moderate risk issues to be addressed
  • L (Low): Yellow badges - Minor issues with lower priority

These badges provide an at-a-glance view of your security risk profile, helping you prioritize remediation efforts.
